Amy Ollett's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Amy Ollett on October 14, 2024 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Amy was born on Dover Airforce base in Dover, DE, on December 14, 1961, to parents Morris and Margaret Berger. She would later become a lifelong resident of Pittsgrove, NJ after marrying the love of her life Edwin Ollett in 1981, where they raised their two children Duane and Deanne.
She was a jack of all trades by nature and worked as a Clerk for the US Post Office for over 26 years. Her favorite part of her job was her conversations with her customers. She loved to catch up with her regulars and kept tabs on everybody. In her spare time, she enjoyed some of life’s most simple pleasures; she loved traveling up and down the coast in the camper, as well attending to the garden and canning the vegetables that grew. She loved the opportunity to spend time with her family but was especially in her element when she had the chance to host both family and friends.
She is survived by her loving Husband Edwin Ollett, Son Duane Ollett, Daughter Deanne Ollett, Sister Patricia Snyder (Harry), Brother Robert Berger (Elaine), and Brother Gus Berger (Chris), along with a multitude of nieces and nephews and family friends that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by both her parents (Morris and Margaret Berger) and a Son Kyle Ollett.
Her wit and humor will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Friday October 18 at the Sray- Webster Funeral Home in Bridgeton, NJ where a visitation period will be held from 10AM-12PM with funeral services following. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Pavilion at The University of Pennsylvania Hospital.
