Alvin C. Wible, Sr.'s Obituary
Alvin C. Wible, Sr. 81 of Newfield, NJ died early Wednesday morning August 22, 2007 in Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Washington, Twp.. He had been in failing health for the past three years.
Born in Deerfield, NJ he was the son of the late Chester and Lillain nee Sweatmon Wible, and the husband of the late Margaret Velma nee Bergen Wible, who died in 2002. He had been a resident of the Newfield area for the past 40 years.
Mr. Wible was a farmer and he had also worked at Owens Illinois in the machine repair dept. for 34 years until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He also worked for Bob Brooks Auctioneers in Malaga for 25 years. He was a long time member of the Deerfield United Methodist Church.
Surviving him is one son Alvin C. Wible, Jr., two stepsons H. Herbert LeRoy Stout and his wife Joan, and David Allen Stout and his wife Suzanne, one granddaughter Kimberly Wojtkowiak, two great grandchildren Devin and Brianna Wojtkowiak, and a special lifetime friend Kelly Brooks.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 25, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll?s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. The Rev. Thomas Austin will officiate. The interment will be in Deerfield Methodist Cemetery, Deerfield, NJ.
Friends may call on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Deerfield United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1561 State Highway 77, Deerfield , NJ 08302.
