Alonzo P Mundy's Obituary
Alonzo Mundy, of Fairfield Township, unexpectedly passed Saturday April 12, 2025 at the age of 66 years old. Alonzo was born in Washington, D.C. March 2, 1959 to the late Katherine (Dreis) and Paul Alonzo Haikey. Alonzo spent time all across the country as a trade carpenter before ultimately settling down in Fairton, where he resided for the last twenty years.
Alonzo was a skilled tradesman and talented carpenter, most recently working for local company Frazer Construction and Roofing. Outside of work, he was an avid Philadelphia sports fan with a particular affinity for the Eagles and Flyers. He also loved the vibrant tradition and showmanship of The Philadelphia Mummers, whom host the annual New Year’s Day Parade. Alonzo truly had a kind heart and loved to make people laugh. He will be missed by all whom had the pleasure of knowing him.
Alonzo is survived by his sisters Stella Scott-Iacuzio and Kathleen L (Dr. James J) Donahue. a neighbor who became family Dave Litzinger, Loretta and Shanarae, who both held a special place in his heart, and three special friends Mark Burns, Steve Kille and Ken Krupinski in addition to host of additional nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Alonzo was also predeceased by three brothers Ronald, Thomas, and Michael Mundy and his brother-in-law Bob Iacuzio.
In accordance with Alonzo's wishes, no services will be held and interment will be held privately. however a celebration of life will be held at a later date TBD.
