She met The Late Ernest Leon Broughton while at Wheaton’s and they were married on June 11, 2005. She re-dedicated her life to Christ and joined In His Presence Worship Center under the Leadership of Rev. David Ennis. She was a hard working woman who made sure her children didn’t want for anything; although she made sure they earned it and knew the value of a dollar. She often said, “You can’t take it with you, but you got to save some; you never know what might happen”. She enjoyed fishing, spending time with her grandchildren which whom she spoiled, taking rides, especially to Fortescue to look at the water. She was so proud to become a grandmom and was so happy to have a grandson because she wanted all boys. Raheem was the apple of her eye and told everybody about how smart he was. She wanted nothing but the best for all her grands. She loved attending Wesley Memorial AME Zion Church, Rosenhayn, New Jersey and when she arrived she would march in with a proud smile.
