Alberta Munson's Obituary
Alberta E. Munson, 80 of Fairfield Twsp died suddenly Monday October 9, 2006, her death was unexpected.
Born in Fairfield Twsp. she was the daughter of the late Wilbert and Anna nee Durham Cuff and the wife of the late Thomas O. Munson Sr. who passed in 1998.
Alberta was employed with the Cumberland County Board of Social Services until her retirement in 1991 with more than twenty years of dedicated service, prior to that she was employed at Millville Airworks in the accounting dept., and with the Fairfield Twp. Elementary Schools as a long term substitute teacher and school bus driver on bus #15. She also served in numerous community organizations and Fairfield Presbyterian Church, under the late Rev. Allen Ackley, former pastor of the church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Munson celebrated her 80th birthday with family and friends on October 1, 2006.
She is survived by two sons Thomas O. Munson Jr. and his wife Sharon of Arizona and Ronald W. Munson, Esq. and his wife Jane of Bridgeton, three sisters Mary Alice Durham and her husband Melvin, Edith Marie Dean and her husband Franklin, and Irene D. Webster, all of Fairfield Twsp., two sister in laws Roberta Jones of Fairfield Twsp., and Anna Cuff of Stow Creek Twsp. , two brother in laws Elmer Munson and his wife Beatrice and Raymond Munson all of Fairfield Twsp., four grandchildren Trevor O. Munson, Tara O. Munson, Erik Hughes, and Daniel Hughes, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased besides her husband of fifty one years by one brother Howard C. Cuff Sr., and four sisters Imogene Cuff, Velma Wright, Agnes Durham, and Ella Cuff.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 14, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll?s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twsp. The Rev. John Fordyce pastor of First Presbyterian Church Vineland will officiate. The interment will take place in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Twsp.
Family and friends may call on Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
