Aita Saimre's Obituary
Aita Saimre aged 75 years of Wilmington Delaware passed away on Tuesday July 18 in Manor Care Pikes Creek Wilmington where she had been a resident for the past several years.
Born in Saareman, Estonia she was the daughter of the late Peeter and Adelaiida (nee Laaster) Saar, and the wife of the late Tonu Saimre who passed in 2008. Aita and her late husband had been residents of the Delaware area for the past 41 years.
Aita was a former member of the Northville Estonian Lutheran Church, and was very proud of her Estonian heritage, attending many activities and functions thru the Estonian Association of Seabrook. She enjoyed sewing, and making things for relatives and friends.
She is survived by her brother Paul Saar and his wife Nancy of Bridgeton, a niece Laura Candela and husband Eric of Michigan, two nephews Rev. Aleksander Saar and his wife Danielle of Mullica Hill, Christopher Saar of Massachusetts, a sister in law Eda Saimre, and various other relatives.
She was predeceased besides her parents and husband Tonu by two brothers Aksel Saar and Kalev Saar, a sister Milvi Saar, and a half brother Kalju Haller.
