I worked with Aimee at the CDC. She was one of the sweetest ladies I’ve ever known. Her unexpected death was shocking and tragic. I still think of her often and pray for her family. 🙏🏻💖🙏🏻

Last year, I was honored to be presented with the Amiee Carter Science Award. Her story brought tears to my eyes. I will forever strive to be like you, rest in peace.

I am very sorry for your loss. I only knew Aimee a short time here at the CDC. Being from Ocean City, NJ, Aimee instantly reminded me of home and family whenever I spoke to her. I only regret that I did not have time to get to know her.
Sincerely,

I did not know Aimee very long, but from the first time I met her, I liked her instantly. She was smart, funny, and most importantly, kind. I offer my heartfelt prayers and condolences to her family and loved ones. Although we only knew each other a short time, I consider Aimee a friend, and I will miss her. I thank God for the opportunity to know her.##imported-begin##Robyn Bussey##imported-end##
Mom and Dad Carter, Josette, Michael and Derek,
I was just shocked when Josette informed me of Aimee's untimely passing. Although I never met Aimee, Josette has always kept me updated on her successes. I vividly recall having lunch with Josette last Christmas holiday as she talked about Aimee's new job and upcoming move to Georgia. I know how much Aimee loved Derek, and encouraged his love of golf.
My heart aches for all of you, and I hope you find peace in knowing she is in a much better place, where she will watch over all of you with a guiding hand -- just like she did when she was with us.
My deepest, sincerest sympathies in the difficult days that lie ahead...
With love,

My first thought upon meeting Aimee was, "Dang, those Jersey folks really do sound like that!" From that moment on, each word that passed from her lips was a joy to hear! I will sorely miss our conversations about Prince Purple rain will always be his best cd! and our mutual love for shopping at Ross. I treasure the time that I had with her, and though she is sorely missed, I know that she is in heaven watching over all of us. Thank you for bringing such a lovely woman into the world##imported-begin##annette##imported-end##
Mr. and Mrs Carter and family:
I had the pleasure of traveling with Aimee, Shannon and Medhat to Boston in October. All of us really enjoyed sightseeing and discussing the conference materials as well as our evenings of sharing and getting to know each other. Aimee always presented herself very well and in a professional manner. She was focused, balanced and very receptive to the advise of other professionals. She was truly a blessed and beautiful young lady.
I have to trust God and I believe that heaven could no longer wait for her return.
My deepest prayers are with you and Aimee.
