Nathan Sherman Boardley

Nathan S. Boardley 64 of Fairfield Twp. passed away suddenly on Friday morning January 25, 2013, at his residence. He had been in failing health for the past two years. Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late Nathaniel B. Boardley and Sara B. Hughes Boardley Saunders, and the husband of Kathey Young Boardley. Nate was an area resident all of his life, and had been employed with Trump Plaza Casino in Atlantic City in the environmental services dept. He was a long time member of Bethany Christian Church. He loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed playing pool. He especially enjoyed cooking Muskrats and Pigs Feet. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran and had served during the Viet Nam War. Nate was also a member of the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Indian Tribe of Bridgeton. Nate enjoyed life, and spending time with his family. Surviving him besides his wife Kathey, are his three sons Nathan S. Boardley Jr. and his fiancé Stacey Saldana of Mount Laurel, Benjamin B. Boardley and his wife Ana of Upper Deerfield Twp., Mark A. Boardley and his wife Jennifferre of Fairfield Twp.; his two brothers Carl A. Boardley and his wife Cynthia of Fairfield Twp., Daniel L Saunders and his wife Georgina of Upper Deerfield Twp.; his two sisters Grace E. Boardley of Fairfield Twp., Michelle R. Eddings and her husband William of Mays Landing, NJ; his nine grandchildren Courtney Nichole Brown Pettiford, Nathan Sherman Boardley III, Demetrius Boardley, Destiny Boardley, Breanna Boardley, Mark Boardley Jr., Jeffrey Boardley, Yang Ye Boardley, Jazimean Boardley, and one great grandchild Amyra Ayala Boardley. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday January 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. from the Bethany Christian Church, 80 South Burlington Road, Bridgeton. The interment will be in Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Twp. A viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church, prior to the services.
