Mae A. Green, 72 of Upper Deerfield Twsp died Friday afternoon in South Jersey Regional Medical Center, Vineland where she had been a patient for the past five days. Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Roland Chambers and Gertrude Ruth Eldridge Brown, and the wife of the late James Kernal Green. She had been a Bridgeton area resident for the past forty years. Prior to living in Upper Deerfield Twsp. she had resided in Fairfield Twsp. As a child Mae attended public schools in Philadelphia, until her family moved to the Salem County area and she attended schools in the Penns Grove area. She was a graduate of the Memorial Hospital of Wilmington School of Nursing where she graduated Valedictorian of her class , and went on to obtain her BS in Nursing from Stockton State College and her MSN from Rutgers University. She worked at Cumberland Manor as a registered nurse until her retirement twelve years ago. She was a member of the Bethany Seventh Day Adventist Church in Bridgeton. Surviving to cherish her memory are one son James Kenneth Green of Reading PA, and two daughters Deborah Green of Winston ?Salem , NC, and Marie E.Green of Colorado Springs, CO, two brothers Edward Brown of Philadelphia, and Lonnie Reaser of Birmingham, AL, two sisters Patricia Ellis and Harriet Adams both of Philadelphia, nine grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by one son Linwood Green, and one sister Joan Nick. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. from the Bethany Seventh Day Adventist Church 32 South Burlington Rd., Bridgeton, NJ. Mrs. Green?s pastor the Rev. Alfred Johnson III will be conducting funeral services. The interment will be in Gouldtown Memorial Park, Fairfield Twsp. A viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. at the church prior to the services.
