Lottie P. Bonham

July 24, 1919 - April 19, 2006

Lottie P. Bonham , 86 of Hopewell Twsp. died Wednesday afternoon April 19, 2006 at her residence. Born in Bridgeton she was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Helen nee Davis Padgett , and the wife of the late William Souder Bonham who died in 1997. Lottie was a graduate of Bridgeton High School and had attended Mary Washington College in Virginia. She was a graduate of the Pierce College in Philadelphia. In 1957 she moved with her family to Princeton, NJ and was employed there in 1960 as a Professional Recruiter for the Educational Testing Service. Lottie was employed with the service for 20 years, retiring in 1980. As a child she was raised in the Deerfield Presbyterian Church and later attended after her marriage to William, Central Methodist Church in Bridgeton. She was a member of the Bridgeton Research Club, and also the Bay Head Yacht Club in Bay Head, NJ. Her hobbies included painting with water colors and doing artwork, she especially enjoyed boating with her family and friends, gardening and entertaining in her home with her family. Surviving are two children , her son David P. Bonham of Bridgeton and Bay Head, NJ and a daughter Mary Anne B. Wood and her husband R. Norman Wood of Manchester, Mass. , and Delray Beach , Fla., two grandchildren Randolph B. and his wife Cheryl P. Wood and Ian R. and his wife Debra N. Wood all of Manchester, Mass., two great-grandchildren Tyler P. Wood and Miles W. Wood. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a sister Mildred Coleman. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The interment will take place in the family plot in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton. For those who wish to make donations in memory of Lottie, the family requests donations sent to any of the following organizations, Hospice Care of South Jersey, 2848 S. Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360, Gallery 50 INC at 50 E. Commerce St. Bridgeton , NJ 08302, or to the First Presbyterian Church, 107 W. Commerce St. Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
