Jacob B. Caine, Jr.

September 12, 1943 - April 29, 2007

Jacob B. Caine, Jr. 63 of Bridgeton died peacefully Sunday afternoon April 29, 2007 in South Jersey Hospital Bridgeton - Hospice Inpatient Unit. He had been in failing health for the past year. Born in Bridgeton, the son of the late Jacob B. Caine, Sr., and Frances Caine Ingles, he was the husband of Sharon nee Miller Caine. Mr. Cain was employed for 26 and one half years with the Bridgeton Board of Education as a maintenance worker he was also formerly employed with the Cumberland County College, JOWA Security, the former Price Label Co., and Siebel and Sterns in Bridgeton. He was a former member of the Bridgeton Rescue Squad and was an avid CB radio enthusiast; his handle was the ?Bewildered Bear?. Surviving him besides his wife Sharon, of 45 years are his daughter Stephanie C. Drain and her husband Albert of Millville, one sister Nadine Woodward of Fairton, two grandchildren Amanda and Ashley Galetto of Millville, special friends Annie Wright, Milford and Teresa Dickerson, and Joe and Sandy Sparacio, several nieces, nephews and special cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Melanie J. Caine who passed away in 1991. A memorial service will be held on Friday evening May 4, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll?s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twsp.. The Rev. Wilbert Frazer and Rev. Edward Marlow will conduct services. The interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call on Friday evening from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Mr. Caine?s memory to the Hospice Care Inpatient Unit 333 Irving Ave., Bridgeton, NJ 08302, or Cumberland County SPCA 1244 North Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.
