Dolores DelCollo, of Fortescue, NJ went home to be with the Lord early Saturday morning March 17, 2007 in Cumberland Manor, Hopewell Twsp., after an extended illness she was 78 years old. Born in Bridgeton, March 1, 1929 the daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie nee Waddington DelCollo, she had been a resident of Fairfield Twsp. for forty eight years before moving to Fortescue where she has resided the past thirty years prior to her death. She was a graduate of Bridgeton High School, and was formerly employed for over thirty years with National Freight Inc. of Vineland working in the Customer Service Department until her retirement in 2001. Ms. DelCollo was a twenty year breast cancer survivor. She was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports teams and enjoyed watching the Phillies, Sixers, Flyers, and her Eagles games. She was a long time active member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Bridgeton, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and Church School Superintendent. She was also a member of the Fortescue Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren to whom she was affectionately named ?Great Nannie? Surviving to cherish her memory is her daughter, Nedra Furtek, of Hopewell Twsp., two grandchildren Amy Lowers and her husband Frank of Fortescue, and Hope Furtek and her fiancé Greg White of Hopewell Twsp., three great grandchildren Jimmy Dooley and Nicholas White both of Hopewell Twsp. and Savannah Lowers of Fortescue. She was predeceased besides her parents by one brother John Beastone and one sister Alberta Polhamus. The Burial Office will be read and the Requiem Eucharist celebrated at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church, 186 East Commerce St. Bridgeton, NJ on Wednesday March 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.. The interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Tuesday evening March 20, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave., at Carll?s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twsp. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the charity of ones choice.
