Calvin V. Kuff

April 13, 1927 - April 4, 2008

Calvin V. Kuff , 80 of Stow Creek Twp., passed away on Friday afternoon in Cooper Medical Center, Camden, where he had been a patient for the past several weeks. Born in Salem, NJ Calvin was the son of the late Vivian and Elizabeth nee Miller Cuff, and the husband of Margaret nee Hughes Kuff. Calvin grew up in the Salem County area and attended public school in Canton. He had been a resident of the Stow Creek area for many years. He was formerly employed until his retirement in 1993 with Wheaton Plastics in Millville where he worked as a steel fabricator and welder. Known for his welding skills he had also operated his own shop known as Roadstown Welding for several years. He could practically fabricate almost anything by taking a few measurements, or at times even just looking at a picture of an object. He enjoyed fishing and crabbing , and camping in his spare time. He also loved the CB radio and operated under the handle of "Snuffy". He was a member of the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Indians of Bridgeton and was known by his tribal name of "Silver Osprey". Besides his wife Margaret, he is survived by three children, his daughter Bonnie Montgomery and her husband Ernie of Newport News, VA, his sons Kenneth C. Kuff Sr. and his wife Maria , Kevin B. Kuff and his wife Susan all of Bridgeton, three step sons John Green, Charles Green and his wife Karen all of Fairfield Twp., Robert Green of Bridgeton, three step daughters Wonneta Figueroa and her husband Juan of Bridgeton, Carnellia Pierce and her husband Bruce and Maria Johnson and her husband Anthony all of Fairfield Twp., two sisters Christina Pierce of Cohansey, and Arthalinda Lloyd of Port St. Lucie, FL, , his mother in law Mary Hughes of Fairfield Twp., seven grandchildren , two great grandchildren, and several nieces , nephews, and cousins.
