Alexander C. Green, Jr.

December 4, 1953 - April 10, 2007

Alexander C. Green Jr. 53, died late Tuesday evening April 10, 2007 at his residence in Fairfield Twsp. He had been in failing health for the past several years. Born in Bridgeton he was the son of the late Alexander C. Green Sr. and Rachel Lorraine Archilla. He had been a resident of Fairfield Twsp. most of his life and had previously lived in the Carney?s Point area. Mr. Green attended public schools in both Fairfield and Bridgeton and was a veteran of the US Army. He was previously employed as a school bus driver with Knott?s Transportation in Delaware. He was a member of Bethany Seventh Day Adventist Church in Bridgeton and was a former member of the Seventh Day Adventist Pathfinders. Surviving him are his former wife and caregiver Almeda M. Johnson Green, one son David Alexander Pitts of Wilmington DE, one daughter Yvonne Sykes of Bridgeton, six stepchildren Steven Clark of Newark DE, Donshay Clark and his wife Shanta of Elkton, MD, Marquest Clark and his wife Ronshaye of New Castle, DE, Sgt. Todd B. Vick and his wife Kim of Hawaii, Joseph S. Johnson of Lindenwold, NJ , and Almeda M. Johnson ?Sye and her husband Joseph of Penns Grove, eight brothers Joseph Archilla and his wife Pat, Gonzales Archilla and his wife Shiela, Anthony Archilla and his wife Jenne, all of Rhode Island, Oliver Green, Charles Green and his wife Karen, John Green , Robert Green , all of Fairfield Twsp., and Richard Butler of Vineland, four sisters, Rachel Ethier of Rhode Island, Juanita Figueroa and her husband Juan of Bridgeton, Cornelia Pierce and her husband Bruce , and Maria Green all of Fairfield Twsp., his step mother Margaret Kuff of Stow Creek Twsp., and his god sister Eliza Cobb of Brotmanville, three grandchildren and sixteen step grand children. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 18, 2007 from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll?s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twsp. at 11:00 a.m.. The interment will take place in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Twsp. Friends may call on Wednesday morning prior to the services from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
