Albert L. 'Strong Bear" Miller Sr.

Albert L. “Strong Bear” Miller Sr., 70 of Hopewell Twp., passed away at home on Wednesday May 23,2018, under the care of his family and hospice. He had been in declining health for the past few months. Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late Albert and Christine (nee Ridgeway) Miller, and the husband of the late Margaret (nee Pierce) Miller. Albie was employed for 41 years with Wheaton Glass as a machine operator. He was a proud member of the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Indian Tribe of Bridgeton where he served as a former Tribal Council Member. He enjoyed Pow Wow’s, gatherings at the tribal grounds, and spending time with his tribal family and friends. He also enjoyed bowling, hunting in his younger years, and was also a former member of the Bridgeton Rescue Squad. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Michelle L. Miller, Albert L. Miller Jr., Christine E. Miller, his grandchildren: Kayla Rodriquez, Charimar Morales, Damion Hadden, Shawna Miller, Sukie Jade Miller, and Jedidiah Miller, many nieces, nephews, cousins and various relatives. Besides his wife and parents, Albie was predeceased by two sisters, Alberta Graves and Christine Pierce, and brother in laws, James Graves and Milton Pierce. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday at 11:00a.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. A viewing will be held from 10:00 – 11:00a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Twp..
